Minimum Ncell top-up amount on Namaste Pay raised to Rs 50

The minimum Ncell top-up amount on Namaste Pay digital wallet has been raised to Rs 50. The new rule is effective from 10 PM Wednesday Mangsir 26, the company issued the information via a notice.

With this new rule, Ncell customers will now have to make a top-up of at least Rs 50. Before this, the least top-up allowed amount was Rs 40 raised from Rs 10 just three months ago in Ashoj.

The reason the minimum Ncell top-up amount on Namaste Pay has been increased

The minimum top-up (recharge) amount is dictated by the telco so Namaste Pay doesnโ€™t have much in it. Itโ€™s the telecom operator that decides what the least top-up amount should be and digital wallets simply facilitate the service.

โ€œFrom Mangsir 26, 2080, 10:00 PM onwards, Ncell has raised its minimum top-up amount to Rs 50 which was previously Rs 40,โ€ the notice adds, โ€œTherefore, from the date and time, Namaste Pay App wonโ€™t allow the top up service of below Rs 50 as per Ncell rules.โ€

In addition to Namaste Pay, Ncell allows top-ups on eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, and other mobile payment apps. So, since the rule applies to all mobile wallets, itโ€™s likely that the same Rs 50 top-up for the Ncell mobile balance applies. We will keep tabs on Ncell for official information and update instantly.
