Xiaomi has distributed educational materials and school supplies to DSA(Disabled Students Association). As part of its corporate social responsibility, the company has distributed supplies to 70 students.
The materials were handed over to Mr Daya Ram Maharjan, Principal of DSA School by Mr Sourabh Kothari, Country General Manager, Xiaomi Nepal.
Xiaomi has been taking the initiative to conduct various welfare activities to give back to the community. It has handed over things like laptops, kits, bags, shoes, books and musical instruments.
Saurabh Kothari, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Nepal said, “We always believe in serving back the community where we operate. Along with doing business, we are aware of our responsibility towards the community. In further days also we will be supporting the community in different ways. I believe that our small efforts would generate positive outcomes in the near future.”
Xiaomi Corporation was established in April 2010 as an internet and smartphone company. The smart hardware is connected by an IoT platform at its core. The company is the fourth-largest smartphone brand and has established the world’s largest consumer IoT platform, with more than 171 million smart devices without including smartphones and laptops.
Currently, the company has taken the market in more than 80 countries and regions around the world. It is one of the leading corporation that have a leading foothold in many markets.
The company is listed on Fortune Global 500 list, ranking 468th among all. It also ranks 7th in the Internet Services and Retailing category. Xiaomi is the youngest Global 500 company as of now.
