Nepal’s first-ever international Singing & Dancing reality show calls for application

With an aim to promote Nepali culture around the world, the Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America is hosting Nepal’s first-ever Nepali International dancing and singing reality show titled ‘Mero Dance Universe‘ and ‘Mero Voice Universe‘. At the grand announcement ceremony at Naxal-based Marriot Hotel, the company called for applications from eligible people from all over the world.

Anyone from around the world can register for the audition to participate in the reality shows.

Anyone interested to participate in the historically grand reality shows can register from the Intra Foundation app. To be eligible, applicants must be above 18 years old and must be able to speak and understand the Nepali language.  

Regarding the record-breaking reality shows, the President of the Foundation, Mr. Dilli Adhikari said, “We must work together to preserve our culture. Our identity is embedded in our language, culture, and helping those in need.”

He added, “Foundation’s main aim is to bring musical revolution in the Nepali entertainment industry.”

Participants in Nepal’s first-ever international singing & dancing reality show stages and judges

Contestants in the competition will go through stages for their selection. After the primary election, Foundation will perform a physical audition in different parts of the world. Various renowned artists such as Suresh Adhikari, Shiva Pariyar, Anju Panta, Sujata Varma, and Pushpan Pradhan will be on the judging panel for ‘Mero Voice Universe’.

Likewise, the contestants in the ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will be judged by Mithila Sharma, Dilip Rayamajhi, Shankar BC, Keki Adhikari, Priyanka Karki, and Norman Rai.

Aleen Shrestha will direct both shows. Shrestha has directed several national and international reality shows such as Nepal Idol, Boogie, Woogie, Nepal Lok Star, and Saregamapa Lil Champs.

Rs 1 crore cash prize

The Foundation says that the winner of ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will receive a historically high Rs 1 crore cash. The first and second runners-up will bag Rs 30 lakhs, and Rs 20 lakhs, respectively.

Similarly, the winner of ‘My Dance Universe’ will receive Rs 1 crore cash. The first and second runners-up will get Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs respectively. The cash prize is the highest yet offered in any reality show in Nepal yet.

The organizer has the plan to start the program in its widest form. Besides Nepal, the foundation aims to allure massive participation from abroad from Nepali-speaking communities. There are a lot of people in Myanmar, Bhutan, India, Australia, the United States, Canada, and some European countries who speak the Nepali language. So, it’s possible many from these countries would drop in their application to participate from abroad.

Application for both shows is open and will stay valid till the end of January.
