Cable car service has begun in Maulakali, Nawalpur. The cable transport was started on the occasion of the new Nepali Year 2080 BS.
The service takes the devotees to the temple in just five minutes. Maulakali Cable Car Management Department Chief Abhishekh Bikram Shahi said that the service was inaugurated for the occasion of the New Year.
The first Maulakali cable car trip was completed today at 6:00 AM. And the trip was made in a historical manner. Saraswati Kandel, a 100-year-old resident of Gaindakot Municipality, Ward no. 6, and Krishna Prasad Lamsal, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Nawalpur traveled as the first passengers. The duo boarded the gondolas from the bottom station and the top station respectively.

Maulakali cable car takes passengers to the temple in 5 minutes
The cable car takes passengers to the temple in 5 minutes. The distance between the starting point of the cable car and the temple is around 2 km. There are 12 gondolas for the ropeway transport. For now, the cost for a round Maulakali cable car trip is fixed at Rs 550.
Shahi said that the fare for children 3 to 4 feet is fixed at Rs 330. Likewise, students have to pay Rs 415, and senior citizens are required to pay Rs 415. For the differently abled, the round trip cost is set at Rs 275.
