Social network LinkedIn is adding games to its platform

The worldโ€™s leading social network LinkedIn is adding games to its platform. By doing so, the famous job-finding company will have one more way to keep its users engaged as well as grow its revenue.

As per TechCrunch, the social network platform could introduce puzzle games such as Wordle to draw early success. Itโ€™s speculated that LinkedIn will enter the gaming scene by launching three games- Queens, Inference, and Crossclimb.

But the games wonโ€™t be a standalone entertainment but also will be part of the broader themes. Referencing Nima Owji, the outlet said that LinkedIn might rank companies based on places of work.

LinkedIn will bring puzzle-type games, itโ€™s confirmed

And the speculations might as well be all true. The LinkedIn spokesman has apparently confirmed that the company is working on adding games. โ€œWeโ€™re playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations,โ€ TechCrunch quotes the spokesman. But he couldnโ€™t provide any timeline for its launch.

LinkedIn is owned by Microsoft and the latter is a gaming powerhouse. The likes of Xbox and Activision Blizzard are owned by Microsoft. ย So, it only makes sense that the social network giant is entering the gaming scene for the users.

Casual gaming is key in terms of both engaging players and growing revenues. Itโ€™s something done famously by Facebook and Twitter. LinkedInโ€™s 1 billion users will soon be able to enjoy playing some word games too.

LinkedIn is registered in Nepal and very popular too. As around the world, itโ€™s helping connecting business and companies connect and share. Having games will add more value and reasons for users to use it and connect more profoundly.
