Langtang-Gosaikunda Trail Ready, 40km road constructed  

The Langtang-Gosainkunda trail footpath is now ready that connect Sindhupalchok’s tourist destination Helambu to the popular religious spot. Additionally, a 40km road has also been built that will facilitate the tourists along one of the much sought-after trekking itineraries in Nepal.

Existing paths have been repaired and new tracks are also being opened. The new project will promote tourism which is showing signs of rejuvenation after the devastating COVID-19 lockdown which stagnated the industry in recent years.

The tourism department has coordinated with the local body for the current infrastructure improvement. The project has cost the authority Rs 2 crores which will see a 30 km path connecting Helambu, Simisidang with Langtang, and a road from Ganjalpas to Langtang road stretching 40 km.

At the moment, the under-construction trails of Kutungsang of Helambu, Thadepani, Gosaikunda, and Syafrubesi of Rasuwa are used by trekkers.

The Langtang-Gosaikunda trail adds security and promotes tourism

The Langtang-Gosaikunda trail will provide added security to the trekkers. Besides, the trail is expected to become a milestone for the tourism promotion of Sindhipalchok and Rasuwa.

The trail will circle Helambu. The other trials have been repaired which were affected by the 2072 earthquake.

The old trails (footpaths) are almost becoming irrelevant. But thanks to the recent efforts by Helambu Rural Municipality, the trail improvement has drawn more trekkers/tourists these days.
