Digital wallet Khalti and Rastriya Beema Sansthan have signed an agreement to facilitate insurance premium payment through the prominent mobile payment vendor.
The collaboration allows Khalti users to easily pay their insurance payments through the mobile app at their convenience.
Rastriya Beema Sansthan is the first life insurance company in Nepal established by the government in 2024 BS. But it only started life insurance services from 2029 BS. To date, it has become one of the most trusted companies for life insurance services.
The deal with prominent mobile wallet Khalti will add a delightful convenience to pay premiums online for its customers.
To perform the online premium payment, Khalti users can go to the app’s Insurance option and select Rastriya Beema Sansthan. After this, the mobile wallet asks for additional details. Once all the details are submitted, the payment succeeds instantly.

Regarding the partnership between Khalti and Rastriya Beema Sansthan, the e-wallet CEO Binay Khadka said, “Bringing payment service into our services is an important achievement for us. We are confident the collaboration will benefit our users and the insurance company will also benefit from the ability to collect insurance premiums more effectively.”
For paying above Rs 5,000 for insurance renewal, Khalti users must update their KYC.
Khalti is Nepal’s prominent digital wallet company which started its service in 2017. Despite being just 5 years old, the company has formed a strong base of 20 lakh users and boasts an agent network of over 50 thousand.
Khalti has also been honored with a Startup Success Award recently for its contributions to the Nepali fintech industry and digital economy.
The payment service provider allows utility payments, domestic flight and movie booking, government bills payment, etc.
