Kathmandu Metropolitan City has launched its mobile app to provide various services online. The app named “Kathmandu Metropolitan – Ka Ma Na Pa” is released in its beta form.
The metro’s Mayor Balen Shah released the app on the occasion of the 28th Metropolitan Day.
The local government launched the app in cooperation with Smartpalika. The city will provide services such as information and recommendations etc. with the app. The online service is expected to minimize hassle and deliver basic services more efficiently to the public.
The app has a Hello Mayor feature. The public can engage in virtual discussion through it via calls or messages. “Janagunaso” is another inclusion in the app which lets people register their grievances to the metro.
Kathmandu Metropolitan App features
Bibas Mahat, the Campaign Director of Smartpalika shared that the app allows ward offices to carry out over 171 recommendations a day. People who need recommendation letters from the metro can obtain one at their convenience using the mobile app.
The user needs to request a recommendation to receive it. Then, the concerned ward chairperson or the secretary places a digital signature on it.
Besides, the app also lets users find out elected representatives, and employees of the local government.
Kathmandu Metropolitan app is available on Android smartphones for now. But soon, it will arrive for iOS users.
