Here, in this post, you will find the list of phones losing WhatsApp support after January 1. Find out if you will be affected.
Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company is set to chalk off compatibility for various smartphones after the start of 2023. The unsupported smartphones will stop receiving support for the popular messaging app which includes older devices from Apple, Samsung, Huawei, etc.
Android phones running on older Operating System than Android 14.1 and iPhones running on OS before iOS 12 will stop receiving newer updates on WhatsApp.
If your device is an Android, you can find out if your device will be affected by checking its OS version from the Setting option. If it’s an iPhone, you can find your device’s OS in General>About.
Also, don’t forget to check for your phone’s latest update to an OS version. Chances are, you could continue using WhatsApp without any issues if your phone is updated to a compatible OS version.
