Smartphone owners can now pay their drinking water bills of KUKL (Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited) from Khalti.
The prominent digital wallet has added a feature that allows its users to clear their water supply bills online. The service enables people to save the time that takes to reach the office and instead pay on the go.
The latest service is available to the people inside the Kathmandu valley. On the occasion of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL)’s 14th anniversary, the corporation partnered with Khalti to bring a convenient way of payment to the people in the capital. And besides the easy way of payment, KUKL customers will also receive rebate/discount on early payment.
A few days ago, KUKL also made a similar service available via eSewa.
As per KuKL, the service has started on Sunday, February 13th.
Khalti which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary has been adding new features lately to elevate its features. Recently, it joined the network of FonePay in one of the landmark instances of interoperability in Fin-Tech of Nepal. And the mobile wallet continues to add new features to further diversify its services.
Regarding the water bills payment from Khalti, CEO Binay Khadka said, “Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited’s service has been awaited by the residents of Kathmandu for years and we are very excited to be able to provide this service digitally. “
Do remember: If there is still a due amount pending dating back before 2068, the customers must fulfill that amount. Only, then KUKL will accept upcoming mobile payments from Khalti.
In order to pay the bill of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited from ‘Khalti’, if there is any payment to be made before 2068, the board amount will have to be paid. Then your regular payment can be paid from the bill amount.
The company says it will closely observe how the service works out. “The company will reform its feature as per its effective in the payment”, he added.
