Prominent digital wallet Khalti has received an ISO 27001:2013 certification. The company received the prestigious certification for providing high-quality services to customers.
It bagged the esteemed recognition under Information Security Management System category conferred with the ISO 27001:2013.
Khalti recently won WITSA Award in Malaysia and now it has been presented with another international recognition. The company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Dhruva Adhikari said that the certification is an assurance that transactions done via Khalti are safe and that the company is committed to keeping its user data secure.

Khalti recognized for its data protection commitment
“ISO has awarded us with the certification for Khalti’s commitment to data protection, service community plan, and risk management. The organization has a set of criteria for certification. It took us 1 year to pass all the conditions to get the certification,” he added.
Mr. Adhikari later shared that the regulatory bank Nepal Rastra Bank mandates that payment service providers obtain ISO certification. Receiving the ISO 27001:13 certification ensures that the company is addressing data protection with utmost priority.
