Due to fewer Dabang Tour ticket sales and possible adverse weather, the show has been postponed. Salman Khan-led star-studded ensemble was supposed to rock Nepali audiences this Saturday, May 28 at Dashrath Stadium but the event has been canceled yet again.
The Bollywood superstar was to woo Nepali fans with other notable figures such as Prabhu Deva, and Jaqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha. But now the show faces another uncertainty after the second cancellation.
According to the director of ODC Entertainment, Simanta Gurung, the concert titled the Dabang Tour was postponed due to poor ticket sales.
“The local elections impacted the sale of tickets. Plus, it might rain too so it is best the event was postponed,” Gurung says.
the ODC Entertainment is the organizer of the much-anticipated event. Simanta Gurung, the Director of the concert attributed the cancellation of the event to poor ticket sales.
“The local-level polls affected ticket sales for the event. But again, it might rain on the day of the concert. So it was the best alternative to postpone the show,” Gurung added.
This is the second time the elusive Salman Khan tour has been postponed in Nepal. But Gurung says a new date will be announced soon.
With the stars, the show is itself a costly one too. Gurung has said the company has spent Rs.80 million on lights, stage, sound system, and fees for the performers. The showrunner Salman Khan alone is pocketing Rs.48 million for his first-ever concert in Nepal.
