Global IME Bank has introduced cash and cheque deposit machines. This service lets bank customers deposit cash in their accounts at the time of their convenience.
The bank officially brought its cash and cheque deposit machine into service at a program at its Kamaladi branch. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank’s board of directors and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry inaugurated the machines.
On the occasion, Dhakal said, “This machine is a combination of efficiency, convenience, and safety. This will help the customer to deposit cash and check conveniently without any paper process at their convenient time. Time will be saved. As 24-hour service will be available, the service can be customized.”

Where are these installed?
The bank has brought into operation 5 cash and 5 cheque deposit machines as part of its plan to deliver digital banking services. The ban has installed cash deposit machines at its bench in Kamaladi and New Road within Kathmandu, and Itahari, Narayangadh, and Butwal. Likewise, cheque deposit machines are set at its branches in Kamaladi, New Road, Kuleshwor inside Kathmandu, and Pokhara and Birgun outside the valley.
Dhakal added that the financial sector is evolving globally as per the advancing technology and customers’ demands.
He mentioned that Global IMe is also adopting the same global digital trend in its banking practices and shared the belief that the customers will get their services at their convenience time, without any paperwork with the cash and cheque deposit machines.
The bank has recently started using a QR soundbox and LED display system for QR payment confirmation.
Global IME Bank is the first bank in Nepal to have its branch opened in all 77 districts.
