Genese Solution starts operation in Nigeria, Laos as its hub

Nepali entrepreneur-established Genese Solution, an IT tech firm has started its operation in Nigeria. The company which is headquartered in the UK seeks to play a part in the digital transformation of the West African country and promote its striving IT industry.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anjani Phuyal said that Genese Solution will operate in Nigeria with Lagos being its hub. He said that the popular Nepali cloud service provider will play a meaningful role in diversifying Nigeria’s economy through technology.  

“We’re poised to drive economic diversification through technology. Our team is ready to innovate and collaborate, bringing our expertise to the Nigerian market. Let’s work together towards a brighter digital future,” he said.

Phuyal specified that Genese Solution will provide Nigeria’s government and private companies services relating to cloud solutions, cybersecurity, data consultation, etc.

Apart from being Africa’s largest ICT market, Nigeria is also rising as a technology hub. As many prominent cloud service providers are expanding their services in the country, we have also decided to enter the burgeoning market with an efficient presence.

After the news broke of Genese Solution tapping into the Nigerian market, Hikmat Thapa, a Nigeria-based senior manager at Dangote Group declared that the development is a matter of pride for Nepal. Expecting that the move would prop up Nepal’s image globally as an emerging IT hub, he said it would also reflect the growing influence and skills of Nepalese in the IT industry. Thapa is also the former Treasurer of the Non-Resident Nepali Association.

If you remember, in 2022, Nepalese imported services worth Rs 67 billion to their international clients. Nepal’s boom in the IT industry is reflected in overall growing access to smartphones and broadband internet, and the affinity with technology in general. A company such as Genese Solution led by a Nepali is a representation of Nepal’s leaps in the IT industry, something that we can all take pride in. In other similar news, FuseMachines is being listed on the US stock exchange NASDAQ.

Genese Solution has officially opened its offices in Nepal, Bangladesh, the US, Finland, etc.
