Carrying its mini car profile, the Changan Lumin EV measures 3270mm in length, 1700mm in width, and 1545mm in height in dimension and has a wheelbase of 1980 mm. As for the design, Changan has pulled a very minimalistic approach with not many bells and whistles but succinct and necessary. This cautious take makes it look compact and not too small and narrow. Performance
Talking of the performance front, the Changan Lumin EV features an electric motor power of 35 kW which is not bad yet all for a mini car. Likewise, it gets a 27.99 kWh battery pack and a solid (CLTC- China light-duty vehicle test cycle) range of 301 km per full charge. It can reach a top speed of 101 km/h. It features a front MacPherson and rear coil spring axle suspension.
Talking further of the battery, Changan says that the Lumin mini-cars battery pack can be charged 3% to 80% within 35 minutes under ideal conditions. We are talking about fast DC charging here.

Infotainment
Although it’s a mini-car, its interior is incorporated with a lovely infotainment system backed by a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. This is further enhanced by a 7-inch floating LCD screen within the central control area. The digital system offers a display of the rear-view, integration with mobile devices, and voice commands, and is compatible with smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity which further unlocks multiple functions such as playing music.
Among other features, the mini EV car comes with a reverse camera, parking sensor, tire pressure monitoring system, 2 airbags, ISP, etc.

Changan Lumin EV price in Nepal and availability
Changan Lumin price in Nepal could start from around Rs 27 lakh. In China, its price starts at $8,500. It’s confirmed that MW Vriddhi is bringing the EV into Nepal however, at this point in time, we can only speculate on its price and availability. But we are pretty sure that it could launch in the second half of 2024 but given that the New Year 2081 is upon us, the launch date could be earlier than expected.
