Tata Tiago EV Vs Wuling Binguo EV Comparison; Who comes out on top?

The Tata Tiago EV is a compact car with dimensions measuring 3769 mm in length, 1677 mm in width, and 1536 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2400 mm and a kerb weight of 1235 kg. In contrast, the Wuling Binguo EV is slightly larger, with a length of 3950 mm, a width of 1708 mm, and a height of 1580 mm. Its wheelbase extends to 2560 mm, making it more spacious inside, and it has a lighter kerb weight of 1125 kg. The Wuling Binguo EV’s larger size and reduced weight can enhance passenger comfort and driving efficiency, giving it an edge over the Tata Tiago EV in terms of interior space and maneuverability.

Ground Clearance and Suspension

Moving on, the Tata Tiago EV comes with a ground clearance of 166 mm and has a suspension that includes McPherson struts at the front and coilovers at the rear. On the other hand, the Wuling Binguo EV boasts a higher ground clearance of 190 mm and is equipped with front Macpherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam-dependent suspension. They deliver maximum power outputs of 61 PS and 66 PS, & corresponding torque figures of 110 Nm and 114 Nm. Whereas, the Wuling Binguo EV is equipped with a 50 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that offers 67 PS maximum power and 150 Nm of torque. Both vehicles have a top speed of 120 kmph. But Wuling Binguo EV’s relatively higher torque and power output, offers better acceleration and overall performance.

Tyres and Brakes

The Tata Tiago EV comes with 175/65 R14 tyres, & features front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Whereas, the Wuling Binguo EV is equipped with larger 185/60 R15 tyres and all-disc brakes. The larger tires and disc brakes of the Wuling Binguo EV give better grip, braking performance, and overall driving stability. So, because of this reason, the Wiling Binguo EV has an edge here.

Battery and Range

We all know that the battery capacity and range play important role for EV buyers. The Tata Tiago EV arrives with two battery capacities: 19.2 kWh for the Medium Range which provides a range of 250 km. And 24 kWh for the Long Range & provides a range of 315 km. In contrast, the Wuling Binguo EV can charge from 20% to 80% in 5.5 hours and from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes. The faster charging times of the Wuling Binguo EV offer greater convenience and less downtime, making it more suitable for users who need quick turnarounds and efficient charging solutions.

Safety Features

Safety is paramount in any vehicle choice. The Tata Tiago EV provides safety features like airbags, an intelligent Tire Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Hill Assist Control (HAC). Whereas, the Wuling Binguo EV goes one step ahead by offering additional safety features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and ISOFIX child seat anchors, alongside airbags and ABS. The enhanced safety features in the Wuling Binguo EV offer a higher level of protection and peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.

Storage and Seating

In terms of storage and seating, the Tata Tiago EV offers 240 liters of boot space and has five passengers seating. On the other hand, the Wuling Binguo EV has a larger boot space of 310 liters, sadly it only accommodates four passengers. So, the Tata Tiago EV accommodates an additional passenger compared to the Wuling Binguo EV which can be a deciding factor for larger families.

The Tata Tiago EV price in Nepal ranges from Rs. 26.49 lakh to Rs. 28.99 lakh. It is available in four colors such as Signature Teal Blue, Tropical Mist, Daytona Grey, and Midnight Plum. The Wuling Binguo EV price in Nepal is Rs. 31.99 lakh. Likewise, the ev in three color options: Galaxy Blue, Milk Tea, and Mousse Green. So, the Wuling Binguo EV is more expensive compared to the Tata Tiago EV, which is a more affordable option with a variety of choices to fit different budgets.
