TikTok has called for applications for a vacancy from Nepali citizens. The social media platform has announced a job opportunity for the post of Public Policy Manager which allows the incumbent to work from Nepal. The move comes after the company gets a second coming after the ban was lifted by the government on Thursday, Bhadra 06, 2081 (August 22, 2024). According to the company, the employee from this vacancy is to work from Nepal but for the office in Dubai. Minimum qualifications:

  • Must have direct experience in public policy or government relations and advocacy work
  • The candidate shall be well-versed in the legislative process and tech policy

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Government, Public Affairs, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Work experience at a global technology company or international organization
  • Previous advocacy experience, with the ability to analyze and communicate business implications of public policy
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to render complex policy issues into simple explanations and compelling messages
  • Ability to work in a team and exercise sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
