Popular religious site Supadeurali temple in Arghakhanchi District will now be connected via a cable car project.
Sandhikharka Municipality Mayor Krishna Prasad Shrestha shared that the Sandhikharka Municipal Executive meeting held on Asar 13 decided to recommend Supadeurali Cable Car Pvt. Ltd. for industry registration. According to him, a cable car will be constructed from Supadeurali Temple to Masina Lake.
The cable car will facilitate thousands of Nepali devotees who flock to Arghakhanchi to worship at Supadeurali. Transport difficulties might have compelled some from venturing to the hilly district of Lumbini Province. A cable car will help address that issue for many. In fact, the temple has seen a growing number of devotees visiting the site in recent years.

Supadeurali Cable Car will further improve the influx of visitors
Hari Khanal, vice-chairman of the temple conservation committee, says that the number of visitors visiting the famous religious site of Supadeurali has increased significantly in recent years. Especially, devotees from Kapilvastu, Dang, Pyuthan, Gulmi, and Rupandehi come to the temple to worship the goddess. Likewise, ward No. 7 chairperson Chura Bahadur KC adds that religious tourists from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in India also come to Supadeurali.
In recent years, cable car projects have taken a major stride. While the Pathibhara Cable Car project has been mired in controversy, most of them have been ongoing. Due to the hilly nature, the cable car seems to be a very practical choice for transport in such religious areas. The same will be the case for Supadeurali. The cable car will also attract more people from the nation’s capital, Kathmandu, and other major cities such as Pokhara, Biratnagar, etc.
