Digital wallet eSewa users can now withdraw wallet money from Everest Bank ATMs. It’s the first time ATM withdrawal from a digital wallet has been announced in Nepal.
To formalize the service, both eSewa and Everest Bank signed an MoU recently. CEO of eSewa CEO Jagdish Khadka and Deputy CEO of Everest Bank Vijay Kumar Sharma signed the agreement papers at a ceremony.
With this, eSewa users who also are Everest Bank customers won’t have to carry a physical card to withdraw money from ATMs. Both eSewa and the bank’s customers will be largely benefited from this country’s first type of innovative service.

Withdraw eSewa wallet money from ATM of Everest Bank
eSewa CEO Khadka said that the ATM withdrawal service has been introduced to bring convenience to the users:
“eSewa plans to contribute to a cashless economy but there is still a large space to fill in. This is why, we have brought users closer to digital technology. It will help customers who don’t have bank accounts and places where digital transactions are not available. He also added that the ATM withdrawal promotes financial inclusion.”
Likewise, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Deputy CEO of Everest Bank, shared that eSewa money withdrawals from ATMs are available for free at the moment but he said that after some time, some service fee could be charged for each transaction.
Additionally, eSewa plans to add more banks to ATM withdrawals in the coming days. The mobile wallet company will ask more banks to join the network soon.

How to withdraw eSewa wallet money from ATM?
To withdraw eSewa wallet money from the ATM of Everest Bank, you need to do the following:
- Download or update the eSewa app.
- You can see ATM Withdraw option.
- Choose the bank and proceed.
- Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and enter the withdrawal purpose, and remarks
- Click to proceed.
- Now you need to enter your MPIN or use a fingerprint
- An OTP code will be sent to your mobile phone.
- That OTP must be used at the ATM booth of the bank.
- Now at the ATM, go to cashless withdrawal on the ATM screen.
- Select language. Click on the e-service and enter your service ID.
- Enter your eSewa ID and OTP code that you have received previously and the amount to withdraw.
- Now, the ATM machine will dispense the cash.
