Digital Kisan Help Center established in Jhapa, to help farmers | Geo Krishi app

Kachankawal Rural Municipality has started a digital Kisan Sahayata Kendra in Jhapa (Digital Help Center for Farmers). Established with funding from various donor agencies, the initiative aims to help promote agriculture in a smart way. As per the plan, farmers will be disseminated various farming-related information through a Geo Krishi app.

The rural municipality’s deputy chair Nawaraj Bhattarai said that the initiation was launched with the help of various donor groups.

The project will facilitate climate-friendly agriculture expansion based on location, support for crop and livestock problem-solving, automatic smart information, and interaction with various agricultural experts. It is a type of ‘digital platform’ to guide farmers with technology.

Geo Krishi app

This imitation includes the Geo Krishi app which farmers can download on their phones to receive several information related to agriculture. Mr. Bhattarai said that the app updates farmers with the price of vegetables and fruits in the markets. Additionally, users can find solutions to numerous farming-related issues on the app. The Geo Krishi app can be used both online and offline.

The digital krishi platform will connect farmers with the information center established at Kankai Municipality. The app is expected to help farmers by providing solutions for modern farming as it is filled with a large set of information.
