BYD’s electric vehicle Atto 3 has been launched in Nepal, with three variants. Cimex launched the feature-rich SUV in Nepal first in the 150 KW variant and then later introduced the 100 KW variant. Finally, there is a new affordable variant with 100kW Motor and 49.9 KWh battery, earlier 100KW model has 60.48 KWh battery. The vehicles’ prices have also been revised following the tax revision. Design

Both the exterior and interior boast a stylish design profile. In terms of the dimension, the vehicle measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,615 mm in height. It comes with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm and a ground clearance of 175 mm.

The company claims that the Atto 3 can offer up to 420 km range on a single full charge. The vehicle takes just around 50 minutes to charge from zero to 80 percent with an 80kW charger. For a full charge, it takes 9.5-10 hours with a 7 kW AC charger.

Safety

Atto 3 comes with 7 airbags for safety that can be operated in three driving modes. In addition, it gets features such as electric parking brake technology, anti-lock braking technology, traction control, blind spot detection, door open warning, hill descent control, and a 360-degree view mirror. etc.

Performance

The Atto-3 generates a maximum power of 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque with electric motors. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/ph in just 7.3 seconds and has a blade battery with a capacity of 60.48 KW. It has 17-inch tires.

Later BYD introduced a new variant with a 100KW motor, so as to reduce the tax and bring the price down to compete with Tata Nexon EV.

The car gets full LED headlights, LED rear lights, and LED daytime running lights.

BYD Atto 3 SUV Price in Nepal starts from Rs 55.99 lakh to Rs 89.90 lakh with Cimex hiking the cost for the latter two after the government revised the excise duty on electric vehicles. The vehicle comes in five different color options – blue, green, red, gray, and white. The company said that the vehicle will be delivered within a month of booking. As it stands, the BYD Atto 3 100 KW motor variant now costs Rs 55.99 lakhs and 65 lakh, 88 thousand after excise duty revision, while the 150KW Atto 3 cost has decreased to 81.99 lakh from its previous Rs 89.90 lakh. It’s an immense fall in price due to the tax adjustment.
