Tourists in Pokhara can now learn about the top areas via QR codes. Those who visit the beautiful tourism city can read and hear by scanning QR codes.
The tourism-friendly technology has been initiated after a collaboration between the Tourism Council, with the support of the Nepal Tourism Board and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Sustainable Tourism Project, with technical support of Sarang Digital.

We already know of a similar practice where a QR code scan shows information on heritages in Kathmandu. The technology-inspired trend has now been extended to Pokhara.

How does it work?
Each tourist destination has a board with two QR codes. Tourists can scan them with their camera or a third-party app. One QR code provides information about the particular destination where it’s kept, while the other QR gives information on the must-visit areas in the city.
