Pumdikot Cable Car Project in Pokhara
The Pumdikot Cable Car project is expected to be completed by July 2026. It will have a distance of 1.1 kilometers spanning the top and the bottom stations.
It’s said that after the ropeway comes into operation, it will take around 11 years to pay off the bank loan.
Pumdikot is famous for the statue of Lord Shiva (Mahadev) at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level. It’s the second-tallest statue of Shiva in Nepal. Devotees have made it one of their favorite places to visit, not just to worship God, but for the scenic beauty it provides. At the top, one can overlook the panoramic scene of the hills and mountain ranges. It offers a melting pot of spirituality and majestic natural beauty.
A cable car project for Pumdkot will elevate its religious as well as tourism significance and also help promote the local economy. If any unforeseen scenarios don’t transpire, it will be completed in 1.5 years.
