Nepal Clearing House Limited’s Nepal Pay QR is now available on all the commercial banks’ mobile banking apps. It was notified in a statement by NCHL on Thursday, October 12.
Now, users of any “Class A” banks’ customers can scan and pay via the NepalPay QR at merchants. At the same time, users can also use the same service on the mobile banking app of the majority of development banks, PSPs (digital wallets), and the ConnectIPS app.
NCHL has seen this as a major step in establishing interoperability in the NepalPay network. The company expects this to further increase QR transactions.

Nepal Pay QR is part of the National Payment Switch’s NepalQR infrastructure. It offers both merchant and network-level interoperability.
As per the company, over 4 lakh merchants have been added to Nepal Pay QR’s network from various banks and financial institutions (BF/Is).
To pay via Nepal Pay QR, users need to go to the scan option on their mobile banking app or digital wallet and choose the Nepal Pay logo. Merchants and businesses can get the QR by contacting their BF/Is.
