Nepal’s leading commercial bank, Nabil Bank, has launched a MasterCard debit card service, which brings users multiple premium services. The bank started the service to enhance its customer service and strengthen electronic payments.
The bank unveiled the card at a program in Kathmandu in the presence of high-ranking officials from both Nabil Bank and MasterCard.
The bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Manoj Kumar Gyawali, said that its MasterCard Debit Card reflects the bank’s commitment to provide customers with high-quality services.

Nabil Bank says that customer with its debit card will experience MasterCard’s world-class network and new banking services in their daily lives. This includes discounts at various restaurants, spas, fitness centers, and entertainment areas.
The bank has also given time and effort to the design of the card. The new debit card features the image of the national bird of Nepal, which is considered a symbol of decency, freedom, and national pride.
Nabil Bank is a major member of MasterCard and the first bank in Nepal to issue MasterCard credit cards. The bank has been providing MasterCard credit cards that can be used to transact in Nepali rupees and US dollars.
The bank says that customers can apply for the MasterCard Debit Card at any branch of the bank or through the nbank app.
