Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) has implemented its QR code service at the Currency Management Department of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) situated in Baluwatar.
The service has been brought to facilitate the public in currency exchange (paper bills) as the festive season approaches.
MBL’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Santosh Koirala and NRB’s Executive Director Naresh Shakya signed the agreement papers formalizing the cooperation.

MBL QR code service at NRB’s currency management department
The service lets people use MBL’s QR code service to pay for currency exchanges. This will make customer service more convenient and straightforward and also help promote cashless transactions.
In addition, the bank said that it is always committed to facilitating digital payment facilities through different advanced means and is ready to launch new products and services for its customers. The bank has also declared that it is continuously working on a plan to establish itself as the first digital “smart bank” while promoting cashless banking.
