GAC Aion Y EV electric car has been launched in Nepal via CG Motors at a premium price range. The Chaudhary group’s automobile venture brought the electric four-wheeler to the Nepali market. The car comes with an ADA safety feature, a 100-kW motor, and 225 Nm motor torque with its futuristic look among its USPs.
Talking of the vehicle, it’s a product of GAC’s electric subsidiary Aion. It’s the first time the company has its EV car launched in Nepal. Exterior and interior
GAC Aion Y flaunts a youthful design. The LED Headlamps extending downwards are one of the center attraction pieces. The EV has comfortable seating postures front and back. It’s a five-seater car. Both the driver’s and passengers’ seats can be adjusted to 180 degrees. All of them have headrests.
Performance
No doubt, the GAC Aion Y EV is one powerful electric car. It promises 100 kW of power and 225 Nm of torque. This machine can deliver 0 to 100 km/h in just about 8.5 seconds. Talking of the battery pack, it’s got a 61.54 kWh unit. The company claims that it can give 510km of a range on one full charge. The 6.6 kW charger makes it an efficient charger for compatible charging stations.

Safety
The EV has disc brakes at both front and rear with ABS which acts as a life-saving feature at times. Likewise, the steering system is backed by an electric power steering (EPS) which renders price handling.
Additionally, there are safety features such as airbags for both the driver, passenger and the sides. The seatbelts have pre-tensioners and force limiters. The tires are equipped with a pressure monitoring system. The ADAS safety adds various functionalities such as parking sensors, rearview cameras, adaptive cruise control, etc.
