Mero Digital Desh campaign run by eSewa Money Transfer has awarded the ultimate prize of a house in Kathmandu. Purna Bahadur Shrestha working in UAE has earned himself a residence in Lalitpur, Kathmandu.
On Friday 12th Jestha, the brand ambassador of eSewa Money Transfer, and the executive officer of the company ran a lucky draw live on Facebook in which, Shrestha, came out as the lucky winner.
Winner Shrestha has won a two-and-a-half-storied house built on 3 anas in Imadol, Bojepokhari, Ward No. 4, Mahalakshmi Municipality, Lalitpur. As part of the campaign, participants had to send remittances through eSewa Money Transfer. Shrestha had sent the remittance from UAE to his father’s bank account at his home through the company.
Speaking in a live broadcast program with a press conference, Daniel D. Shrestha, director of eSewa Money Transfer, expressed his gratitude to the winner Shrestha.

The company had announced that through the ‘My Digital Country’ campaign, Nepalis in any country of the world would be given a two-and-a-half-storied house in Kathmandu as a bumper gift to one lucky winner if they send money to a bank account or eSewa digital wallet of a person living in Nepal.
People who sent remittances from Ashoj 7 to Jestha 6 were eligible candidates in this campaign. The campaign also gave away attractive gifts to the customers’ homes every month.
Speaking at the event, Ajesh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of eSewa Money Transfer, said that “Win your dream house” under the ‘My Digital Country’ campaign has been successfully completed in terms of legalizing remittances sent by Nepalese from abroad.
eSewa Money Transfer has been depositing remittances into the accounts of more than six million users of eSewa mobile wallet and any bank and financial institution through traditional and digital means.
