About Tokyo Olympics
The 2020 Summer Olympic Games are scheduled to take place in the Japanese capital between 23 July and 8 August. The games were marred by the COVID-19 and postponed. The Olympics will be featuring 33 sports at 339 events across 42 venues.
To ensure the games will begin as scheduled, the authorities are stepping up their efforts to avert another possible COVID-19 breakout. The IOC has said over 80 percent of residents of the Olympic Village are set to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. There are also preparations to inoculate between 70 to 80 percent of journalists for optimum safety from the deadly Coronavirus infection. From the way it seems right now, the Olympics will indeed go ahead as planned with all the stringent measures in place.
The Olympics fever is brewing and Daraz stepping up to promote means more coverage and visibility to the games. Besides, the promotions will lend our Nepali athletes a much-needed morale boost going into the world’s one of the most-viewed sporting events.
