World’s leading digital payment player Visa has officially opened its Nepal office in Kathmandu. It will serve as an official contact for the company’s services in Nepal and help with its popular payment services for subscribers, directly.
Upon the office’s launch, Visa said that it remains committed to the country’s cashless economic journey. It also said that the opening of the office will promote financial inclusion and widen its reach to both customers and merchants with safe financial solutions.
Visa office appoints Manoj Thapa as its chief
Visa has appointed Manoj Thapa as the chief of office for its office in Kathmandu, Nepal. A Nepali national, Thapa, said that Visa will strengthen its local partners and accelerate the launch of innovative digital payment solutions in Nepal.
He said, “We are delighted to announce Visa’s presence in Nepal with an office in Kathmandu.” He will report to Sabbir Ahmed, country manager for Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.
He added that he will play a meaningful role in realizing Visa’s objectives of innovative and secure payment services in Nepal.
