The government of Nepal has announced that it will soon introduce a QR file tracking service. The decision was made on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Singhadurbar at a meeting of secretaries chaired by the chief secretary Eknarayan Aryal. This digital file tracking will help government officials track the progress of files and learn where the concerned file is at the moment of the QR tracking.
To illustrate, the system will let authorized personnel see where a particular file is. It’s expected to speed up government services and expedite the processing of files at offices.
Recently, we had the government initiate an e-pass for the Singhudurbar visit, and the government also completely validated the driving license on the Nagarik App. Now, it’s made another digital decision which sits right home the practice of e-governance and the digital transformation of government services.
Government announces QR File Tracking in Nepal to enhance public services
The QR file tracking service will first be put to trial at the office of the Prime Minister. Following the test, suggestions and feedback will be collected to devise the future roadmap for the service.
The system is expected to transfer and process government files from one agency to the other at speed.
The government is making several attempts to enhance public services. It’s a praiseworthy step but wish that such efforts bring tangible efforts at the earliest. The e-governance practice bridges the gap between the government and the public. Let’s wish that the QR file tracking comes into effect as early as possible following its pilot test at the PM’s office.
