Global IME Bank Limited has launched a facility allowing customers to open their new bank account using a kiosk machine. The bank brought this self-serving digital service on its 19th anniversary, which aligns with its drive to continuously bring innovative and digital banking services to enhance customer experiences.

Global IME Bank account using a Kiosk machine
In its first phase, Global IME Bank has kept its kiosk machine at the Kamaladi branch office in Kathmandu. To open a bank account using it, you need to provide your details first. You can do so using the machine. After that, you get an account number.
The bank has shared that at present, the service is only available from the bank’s Digital Universe located in Kamaladi. Global IME Bank also provides cash and cheque deposits from the machine through the Digital Universe located in the bank’s branch in Kamaladi.
The bank plans to expand such services to other locations in the future.
The bank has been providing service to customers through over 1,000 service centers, including 352 branch offices, 384 ATMs, 150 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and 3 foreign representative offices.
