BYD M6 EV, a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) is set to launch in Nepal very soon. The prolific NEV brand’s authorized distributor for Nepal – CIMEX INC. has brought one sample unit in Kathmandu and will officially unveil it in the country though no fixed date has been disclosed.
The vehicle will come in the price range to compete with the likes of Omoda 5, Hyundai Kona, MG ZS, and will also be an alternative to BYD’s own Atto 3. Here, we cover important details regarding its performance, battery, variants, and expected price in Nepal. Keep reading.

BYD N6 Overview
Design
The BYD M6 EV boasts a muscular body design with an all new shoulder-armor-shaped flying design. BYD has given it a dragon’s face design which is reminiscent mostly from its sleek front and lights. But the vehicle is, in essence, minimalistic and yet elegant.
Likewise, the LED headlights are sharp and slim that provides “a powerful gaze of a dragon.” The car’s interior is characterized by spacious cabin which can accommodate 7 passengers for both family or friends trip or a for a business experience.
For infotainment, there’s a 12.8-inch rotating touch screen panel, satellite navigation, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity for phone, 6 speakers, etc.
Performance
BYD M6 EV comes in two variants – Standard and Extended with AC Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor power and battery specifications. The Standard variant M6 produces maximum power of 120 kW while the Extended variant features a 150 Kw of power output. Both has a maximum torque of 310 Nm and their maximum speed is stated to be 180 kmph.
Similarly, the Standard and Extended variant of BYD M6 EV can offer range of 420 km and 530 km (Both NEDC-rated), respectively. But there’s a slight difference in acceleration. The base model can reach 0 – 100kmph in 10.1 seconds while the extended lineup takes about 8.6 seconds to reach the same speed. The MPV has a ground clearance of 140 mm.

Battery
The Standard M6 EV variant features a 55.4kWh battery while the Extended model comes with a more powerful 71.8 kWh battery pack. Both of these are blade batteries, BYD’s advanced proprietary battery technology.
Safety
Both models of the MPV features anti-lock braking (ABS), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Traction Control System (TCS), Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), airbags for driver and front passenger, etc. However, other safety features such as Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Door Open Warning (DOW), Lane Departure Assist (LDA), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), and others are exclusively available on the Extended variant only.
BYD M6 EV price in Nepal and availability
BYD M6 EV price in Nepal could be set at Rs 55 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 60.15 lakh for the Extended model. It ships in crystal white, Ink Stone Blue, Cosmos Black, Harbour Grey color options.

CIMEX Inc. hasn’t disclosed much about the MPV’s launch as yet but we can assume that it might become available from around New Year 2025.
