Smart Choice Technologies has launched the My Card service, giving users a personalized card service. Under this initiative, customers can get their Union-Pay Debit Card with their photo printed on it.
To get one, customers need to apply at their bank and financial institution (BFI), which is a member bank of SCT. FBI will then issue the SCT-Union Pay debit card to the customers.
Prior to this, MBL and Sunrise Bank also provided card services with customers’ photos on them.

Besides member institutions in the SCT network, others can also provide services using this My Card platform. SCT is currently issuing SCT-UnionPay cards through 23 banks and financial institutions and more than 100 cooperatives.
The payment service provider (PSP) has been issuing SCT-UnionPay cards and Visa cards through its own card switching structure, Smart Switch, and has been providing card-based transaction services by accepting Visa, MasterCard, etc.
SCT is Nepal’s first indigenous card scheme that has been providing secure, simple, and reliable payment services across Nepal for the past two decades.
