Chinese EV brand Nio has launched its ambitious hatchback car, the Nio Firefly EV, in China. It comes in a unique lighting design, 105kW motor, and 42.1kWh battery pack, among other key specifications. The car is expected to be launched in Nepal soon, so here we provide you with detailed information about it, including its expected price.
Nio Firefly EV Specifications
The Noi Firefly EV features a rear-wheel drive motor of a 105 kW capacity, which produces power of up to 141 hp. Its peak torque goes up to 200 Nm.
Likewise, it gets a 42.1 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, which promises up to 420 km of CLTC range. This translates to roughly 340 km in the WLTP range standards. Either way, it’s plenty enough if your commute is around a city from home to work.

The car is said to reach a top speed of 150 kmph and is said to reach 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.2 seconds.

Firefly EV features a unique lighting design that consists of 3 small circles forming headlamps on both front and rear parts. The Firefly logo rests in the middle.
The inside has a good space for drivers and passengers. There’s a 6-inch screen behind the steering wheel that displays all the information about the ride. It’s further complemented with a large 13.2-inch infotainment display. For a versatile entertainment system, the car gets a wholesome 7.1 Dolby sound system with 14 speakers.

Nio Firefly EV is priced at USD16,770, so that could translate to 45.99 lakh in Nepal for the base variant. The premium variant, which has a more sophisticated interior, is priced at USD17,600, which could mean 50.99 lakh in Nepal.
