The BYD Warranty has been extended in Nepal for all BYD EVs. The Chinese EV manufacturer’s local distributor, CIMEX Inc. Pvt. Ltd, has announced to implementation a Comprehensive Extended Warranty Policy that it believes will set a new industry benchmark in the industry.
The distributor said that the extended warranty program will cater to further improve customer satisfaction and experience with BYD electric cars.

What’s in the new Extended BYD Warranty in Nepal?
The extended BYD warranty scheme brings enhanced coverage for BYD EVs in Nepal, which aims to provide relief and convenience to the owners of BYD vehicles. Here’s the breakdown for you to learn all the details of this new warranty scheme:
On Battery
The BYD warranty program increases warranty on the battery from 8 years or 160,000 kilometers to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers. CIMEX Inc. claims that it has the longest warranty coverage in the EV industry.
On Motor
Similarly, the motor warranty has been increased from the previous 8 years or 150,000 kilometers to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers. This helps release owners’ anxiety or doubt over their motor’s performance over a long run.
On other components
Further, the warranty facility has been improved on other components, too. The current warranty of 4 years or 100,000 kilometers has been increased to 5 years or 125,000 kilometers on components including lights, tire pressure monitoring module, suspension, and ball joints.
Similarly, the currently existing 6-year or 150,000 km warranty on all vehicle parts has been increased to 7.5 years or 187,500 km. But this excludes parts such as oil, charging equipment, etc.
