BYD Atto 2 has become a massive hit in Nepal, and the stats strongly back it up. The compact SUV has seen sales of over 1,000 units in just four months of launch in Nepal.
The electric vehicle was unveiled in Nepal by CIMEX Inc. at the NADA Auto Show 2025. As of January 15, the local seller has sold 1,074 units of the model, cementing further success for BYD cars in Nepal.
The success follows other top BYD models, such as the hugely popular Atto 3 and BYD Dolphin. The list is rather quick for the Chinese auto manufacturer in Nepal, though.
What makes BYD Atto 2 so popular?
The car is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 with Cell-to-Body technology. The 51kW blade battery provides up to 345 km of range on a full charge. The 100kW motor and 290 Nm of torque also make it a strong option for affordable mobility. It’s further enhanced by a 200 mm of ground clearance, which is higher than average in Nepal.
The after-sales service, wide charging network, and growing brand clout have also furthered its popularity in Nepal. And let’s not forget the price tag. The compact SUV comes in at Rs 43.99 lakh and is also available with EMI payment at 7% of interest for 7 years. Buyers need to pay 40%, that is Rs 17 lakh, 59 thousand, and 600, upfront to bring it home.
