inDrive to take 0.01% fee from drivers, learn market sustainability

Nepal’s leading ride-hailing platform inDrive will now take 0.01% commission from its driver partners. The decision is part of the latest campaign that commits to fair rides and empowers drivers in Nepal.

Under this latest initiative, the company will put into effect a fee of 0.01% for its drivers from February 2026. It says that the initiative helps safeguard driver earnings while also maintaining platform sustainability. In the growing market where ride-sharing platforms are fiercely competing, inDrive’s approach seems unique, appealing, and generous.

Why will inDrive charge 0.0% fee on drivers?

inDrive says that the 0.01% fee on drivers will give them autonomy and decision-making power within the platform. The company says that the namesake fee is only for the company’s essential operational continuity and will, in essence, allow the driver partners to keep almost 100% of their ride earnings with themselves.

The company says that it is inDrive’s “way of giving it back to the hardworking individuals who keep the city moving every day.” The initiative gives drivers a valuable opportunity to cash in on the opportunity during the campaign period.
