Design and dimensions
The Smart #1 combines a retro look with a sporty look, featuring clean lines and a striking shape. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4270 mm long, 1822 mm wide, and 1636 mm high, it offers spacious cabin space supported by a 2750 mm wheelbase. The 19-inch alloy wheels and high-mounted headlights add to its long and slender appearance, while it is carefully crafted to ensure comfort and luxury for every passenger.
The Smart #1 has a neat, inviting look that seems current without being too fussy. Slim LED DRLs link both headlamps up front, and the smart logo is elegantly positioned at the center. Useful for charging connections, the little 15-liter frunk is housed in the small bonnet that helps to maintain order.

Mercedes-Benz’s impact is evident from the smooth body panels and rounded edges. The 19-inch alloy wheels complement the car’s overall shape and maintain a decent 185 mm ground clearance, which is beneficial for regular driving in Nepal.
At the back, the linked LED taillights maintain consistency and reflect the front design. At this price range, a rear wiper seems typical. The Smart #1 generally prioritizes elegance and aerodynamic efficiency rather than extreme SUV design.
The Smart #1 is available in different colors like silver, red, black, blue, and white.
Interior and Features
Inside the Smart #1 surprises with its room right away. Though little, the front and rear seats provide plenty of space, the interior seems light and pleasant. Here, the flat floor and extended wheelbase are quite important. Still, with 323 litres, the boot space is typical for the class. The Premium version drops to 313 liters because it has a better sound system. Although the rear seats’ folding increases boot space to 986 liters, the Smart #1’s main weakness is still luggage capacity.
The cabin is tastefully modern and neat. Most car features are controlled by a 12.8-inch centre touchscreen, while a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster shows driving data. There are only a few physical buttons, which look good but might not work for everyone.
While the Premium version switches to real leather, adds driver seat memory, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and a 13-speaker Beats sound system, the Pro+ model utilizes imitation leather upholstery. Ambient lighting and power front seats abound in both versions.
Powerful Performance

Under the hood, the Smart #1 is powered by a 200 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). It delivers a 272 PS of peak power and 343 Nm of torque. With a rear-wheel drive setup, this EV promises a responsive driving experience, supported by a top speed of 180 kmph. This configuration gives the Smart #1 a decidedly performance-oriented feel when combined with a rear-wheel-drive layout and a single-speed automatic gearbox. Unlike some electric SUVs that use front-wheel drive, the RWD setup makes the car feel more stable and makes it more fun to drive, especially when you speed up or turn quickly.
The Smart #1 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 6.7 seconds, which is really good for a small electric SUV in this price range, when it comes to pure performance. Taken together, these statistics give the Smart #1 a vibrant, responsive feel that fits exactly with its luxury metropolitan crossover design.
Battery & Charging
The Smart #1 is driven by a 66 kWh NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese) battery, which gives a claimed driving range of 420 km on the Pro+ model and up to 440 km on the Premium model. The Smart #1 is fit for daily city commutes as well as lengthier highway trips since this battery configuration provides a decent compromise between efficiency and performance. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) increases usefulness even more since it lets consumers run external gadgets, appliances, or even camping gear straight from their vehicle.
Charging-wise, the Smart #1 accepts CCS Type 2 charging and has both AC and DC fast-charging choices. For extended journeys, a 150 kW DC fast charger that charges the battery from 0 to 100 percent in around 30 minutes is quite helpful. The Pro+ model can charge up to 7.2 kW with an AC charger, which takes about 10 hours for a full charge. The Premium model, on the other hand, can charge up to 22 kW with an AC charger, which reduces the charging time to about 3.5 hours. This makes it one of the fastest charging electric vehicles in its class.
Safety and comfort

Safety is a top priority with features such as a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, 360-degree camera, parking sensors, Driver Monitoring System (DMS), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
