Xiaomi Nepal has formally launched the Redmi Note 14 Series in Nepal. The series brings together 4 smartphones – Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and the base models in Redmi Note 5G and 4G variants. These phones replace last year’s Redmi Note 13 Series and while some things are familiar, other things are exciting updates. Redmi Note 14 Nepal price

The Redmi Note 14 price in Nepal starts at Rs 24,999 for the base model (4G version 6/128). The Pro Plus 5G costs Rs 49,999 for 8/256 GB and Rs 54,999 for the 12/512 GB model. The Pro model costs Rs 39,999 for 8/256 GB and Rs 44,999 for 12/512 GB. The 5G variant costs Rs 30,999 and Rs 35,999 for 8/256 and 12/512 GB models, respectively. Redmi Note 14 Series Specifications

Design: The Redmi Note Pro Plus 5G The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G and Pro 5G phones come with glass front and back with aluminum frame. Their screens get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The phones carry a pronounced triple-camera setup on the back and use small bezels. Both handsets are IP68 certified meaning that they are more resolute against water and dust. The Redmi Note 14 5G and 4G phones come with plastic back panels and a gorilla glass-powered screen on the front. But they also share an aluminum frame.

Dimensions and protection: Of the two Pro 5G models, the Pro Plus 5G variant is slightly thicker at 8.8mm and also weightier at 205 grams or 210 grams. It comes with 162.5 x 74.7 x 8.8 mm dimensions. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is 190 grams in weight and feels slightly slimmer with 162.3 x 74.4 x 8.4 mm measurements. But while the 5G variant comes with IP64, the 4G sibling only makes it to IP54. The 5G and 4G phones come in measurements of 162.4 x 75.7 x 8 mm and 163.3 x 76.6 x 8.2 mm, respectively. Of these two, the 4G variant is lighter at 196.5 grams while the 5G one stands at 190 grams.

Display: All the phones in the Redmi Note 14 Series feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen and 120 Hz refresh rate. The difference is that the Pro variants possess a 1.5K resolution screen with 1220 x 2712 pixels, and 3000 nits of peak brightness which makes both of these some of the brightest screens out there. Likewise, the base models come with a 1080 x 2400-pixel resolution screen and while the 5G device reaches 2100 nits in peak brightness, the youngest sibling features up to 1800 nits, not bad that one either.

Camera: The Pro models get three cameras on the back – 200 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro While the base models get 108 MP lead, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensors. On the front, they all get a 20 MP selfie camera. All these phones have AI-backed photography features too. So, expect improved photography with these phones.

Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G camera

Performance: The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset with up to 2.4 GHz clock speed. It’s paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. Likewise, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset with up to 2.5 GHz speed. It’s mated to Mali-G615 GPU for the graphics tasks. The 5G variant has Mediatek Dimensity 7025 Ultra underneath, while the 4G one runs on Helio G99 Ultra. These are 6 nm chipsets, unlike the Pro models’ 4nm ones. There are “Circle to Search” plus several Gemini AI capabilities wired into these phones to bring you a higher AI user experience.

RAM/ROM: In terms of RAM/RAM specs, the Pro and the base 5G model come with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage and 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM. The 4G variant comes with 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 and 256 GB of internal storage. All these four phones boot on Android 14-based HyperOS software. Battery: Both Pro models and the 5G variant RN14 feature a 5100mAh battery but the Pro Plus lineup gets 120W fast charging while the Pro-only and the standard 5G model get 45W wired fast charging. Down the aisle, the Redmi Note 14 $G also gets a 5500mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It’s got the highest-capacity battery in the series.

Connectivity: For connectivity, the Pro Plus 5G model connects to WiFi 6e while the Pro supports WiFi 6. The base models can connect to WiFi 5. Also, while the Pro features Bluetooth 5.4, the two base iterations get Bluetooth 5.3. But all of these devices share the USB Type-C 2.0 port.

Our verdict: Should you buy a Redmi Note 14 phone?

The answer is subjective as to whether should you really buy a Redmi Note 14 phone. However, you can go by the price and specs and they won’t disappoint. Each Redmi Note phone tries to lead the market in its price segment with features and specs. The Pro versions and 5G model come with a 5100mAh battery, decent processors, and a triple-camera setup. You also get decent RAM and storage on the top three variants except for the 4G model.

Depending on your budget, you can choose your ideal model. But personally speaking, it could be wiser to buy a 5G phone at the moment as Nepal is likely to have a 5G network in the coming months. Additionally, Redmi Note phones are celebrated as flagship killers and deservingly, they come with value-for-money features. If you are into buying a budget to upper-midrange phone, this series covers you well. But of course, you are entitled to window shop and decide on a purchase.
