Nepal’s popular motovlogger Surakshya KC has been featured in an official Instagram reel. At the same time, the popular social network has also ‘followed’ her account, marking a rare recognition of a Nepali figure by the US platform.
KC, who originally hails from Pokhara, recalls that she received a message from Instagram a few months ago, and the social network shared her reel with her consent.
“I gave permission to share the reel video,” she said. The video was posted by Instagram with the caption reading, #InTheMoment, followed by details, Video by @imsurakshyakc Music by @anirudhofficial and @dhibuninanthomas.” It has KC’s traditional Kurtha attire transitioning to a rider getup for a ride.
Suraksha said, “It is a great pleasure for me to have a global platform like Instagram, like my work and contact me to share my reels with permission. This has given me confidence that Nepali content can also reach the international level.”
Instagram has over 69.9 crore followers, but it only follows 201 accounts. The exclusive list now has Surakhsya KC’s account ‘imsurakshyakc’. In the meantime, KC has 6.15 lakh followers on the very platform.
The Pokhareli content creator posts her adventurous ride and experience in her videos. She has over 6 lakh followers on Instagram alone, while also boasting a strong presence on other social networking platforms.
