Hero Xtreme 160R OBD II has been launched in Nepal with new updates in the engine and ABS. The new variant keeps the signature design with some improvements in the engine and safety mechanisms. Its arrival gives buyers a new option in the 160cc segment for their new ride.
Performance
Hero Xtreme 160R OBD II comes with a 163.2cc engine, which puts it in the popular 160cc motorbike segment in Nepal. It produces a maximum power of 16.9 Ps at 8500 RPM and boasts a maximum torque of 14.6 Nm at 6500 rpm. It’s a BS6-compliant model, so it complies with the latest emission standards from India.
Likewise, it’s got a 5-speed gearbox and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 4.4 seconds, the company claims. Likewise, the company says that it can reach the top speed of 115 km/h.
It comes with a fuel tank capacity of 12 liter and ARAI certifies that it offers a mileage of 49.65 kmpl. However, in real-life city traffic, it should provide over 40 kmpl, which is not bad either.
Dual-channel ABS
The predecessor had a single-channel ABS, which has now been upgraded to a dual-channel system. It’s a 4-stroke, air and oil-cooled engine with FI technology. It’s got a dual-channel ABS, ground clearance of 165 mm.
