BYD launches separate brand, Linghui for ride-hailing service

BYD has officially launched a separate sub-brand for the ride-hailing business- Linghui. Currently made for the Chinese market, it’s the company’s fifth brand and will be launched soon for the home market. The move is seen as an attempt from the company to leave behind cheap cost products and diversify its auto footprint.

BYD, short for Build Your Dreams, already owns and operates four brands in China- BYD, Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, and Yangwang. Linghui is now the fifth.

The company applied for its new models in January 2026. These models will be used for the B2B market.

BYD teased the Linghui brand on February 02 on Weibo, saying, “Welcome Linghui! Embark on a better life and lead the way in value-added travel!”

Chinese media outlets have reported that BYD’s Linghui will work for ride-hailing, taxis, etc.
