Twitter is going to revise its user verification process, Elon Musk said in a tweet on Sunday. “Whole verification process is being revamped right now”, Musk tweeted. However, not many details were provided.
Elon Musk has directed the employees to meet his deadline to introduce paid verification on Twitter or pack up and leave. It is likely to be implemented sooner. With this, the blue tick verified users might have to pay $20 a month to stay verified.
Under the current plan, verified users would have 90 days to subscribe or lose their blue checkmark. So, Mr. Musk, the elite businessman is seeking more ways to increase revenue for Twitter. He has already made moves, including changing the homepage to the Explore page for logged-out users.
