Tata Motors Builds 108 Charging Stations Across Nepal

  • Tata Motors has set up 108 charging stations across Nepal
  • The charging stations comprise DC charging points in 16 areas, and AC charging points in 92 places

Tata Motors has built 108 charging stations across Nepal that will make EV riding more convenient and give encouragement to other aspirants to shift towards eco-friendly vehicles.

Sipradi Trading, the official dealer partner of Tata Motors in Nepal, has said that the Indian auto giant has set up 108 charging stations around the country.

The charging stations comprise two types of charging. One is DC fast-charging which has been set up in 126 places, and the other type is AC-charging stations that have been set up in 92 places. But the work for further expansion is already underway. The company says it wants to install AC charging stations in over 100 locations by July this year. Tata Motors build charging stations in Nepal, where to find them?

The company says it has set up DC fast-charging stations in Kathmandu, Hetauda, Mulkot, Chumlingtar, Narayanghat, and Dharke in Bagmati province. In addition, there are charging stations in Dhalkebar in Madhesh Pradesh (Province no.2 previously), and in Itahari in Province no.1.

Likewise, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, and Bhalubang have also got charging stations in Lumbini Province. Pokhara and Dhangadhi have also got charging stations in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim province respectively.

Meanwhile, the company also wants to continue adding more DC fast-charging stations around the country. Sipradi says it will set up DC fast-charging stations in Lahan, Simara in Madhesh, and Birtamod in Province no.1 very soon.ย 

In similar news, NEA has also started building charging stations along the highways in Nepal. In the 6-month-long project, the authority is to set up 50 charging stations at 32 different locations to make them accessible to EV riders.
